Food is fun. Food is people, conversation, experience, memory... and at its best, prompts people to gather and share love. That's what we want. Over a year ago, Bob (a talented musician) had a tune come to him where most brilliant ideas come (the shower), and the name of the song would be something we'd joke about for months. "Hey, when you move home, we should start a band named x!" When I did eventually move home, and the idea to open a restaurant became a reality, it was clear that old song title had to be the name of our restaurant: WENDY PUFF PIZZERIA + PUB.
And here's something fun: the cornicione, an Italian word for edge or crust, of true Neapolitan pizza should be PUFFY. So, of course we've named our new oven "Wendy," and she puts out delicious "puffs," which is what we will informally call our pizzas. It's all in good fun and all part of our story on this fun adventure.
It's important for us to be ourselves, a little quirky, and when it comes to our name, you’ll likely sense it. We aim to offer the community delicious food and great service.

Should. Can. Will. Did.
A fellow wanderer/wonderer once shared thoughts for accomplishing “what’s next.” To this person, it always started out simple - “I should do it. I think or know I can,” but it got really hard with “I will do it,” and unfortunately the elusive “should” collected dust. This post-it hung in my cubicle for a long time and was packed away for a while. In spring 2023, I found it and reflected on where I am today… knowing I should open a pizzeria + pub, I can open one, I will do it, and come July 2023, brother Bob and I did open a pizzeria + pub. Bob and I are excited to bring this vision to our small but mighty community. Join us on this journey... ideally where we can share a high five, but digitally is fine, too. We’ve already been so inspired by many of you.
